Friday was Tony's first day of his five day pass. Tony really didn't have anywhere to go. I told him last week that if it was ok with the higher-ups he could stay at mine and Josh's apartment. It turned out to be a really nice weekend for him. Friday Josh took him to a fish-fry and then on saturday he took tony to Chicago. Sunday he came to church with me. We ate at Conejito's and then had a late supper at Kit's on Capitol.
Tom continued the Strangers in a strange land series. We covered chapter four. The humbling of Nebuchadnezzar. Remembering who the source is ... is very important. Being humble is diametrically opposed to the ways of our flesh. I am guilty. It is a daily struggle. Once one realizes that it all comes from God ... it becomes ... somewhat ... easier.
After the initial stress of moving I am actually glad that I'm here. I honestly thought that I was going to leave. Quite wierd. It all turned around after Jordan left. Even wierder is that Jordan had absolutely nothing to do with my situation.
I guess I'm going to get back into teaching. Alvin and myself are going to work together to see if we can find suitable curriculum for the second phase guys. I am going to check into Lifeway again.
