Just a 'lil bit ...

... better. As I wade through the mounds of paperwork I am finding that the tasks are slowly but surely getting finished. One of my assistants finished the 1098c 2007 project mailer. Many of the titles that needed to be re-assigned are filled out and signed by the asst. director. They now await one of the guys from the salvage to sign them ... then I will make copies and close the files ... so to speak. The amount of lost titles ... I cannot comprehend ? ... The unfinished business list from GMAA gets smaller with each passing week. It is one of my goals that we close all those files. All the stuff that was done incorrectly my first 2 weeks have been repaired ! ... Whew ! The next project is to address the same 1098c issue with the first 3 months of 2008.
I have another assistant who has an engineering degree. The guy is a whiz with both Access and Excel. I am really thankful for him. I have already learned a bunch from him. As annoyed and annoying as I have been this first month ... I am finding that my attitude is the one that needs changing. I already knew this but ... I see the similarities between myself and the children of Israel. I asked for all of the situations that I now complain about. Have mercy on me a sinner ! I need to remind myself of this throughout the day. Why must I be this way ? ... I think Paul put it best this way in Romans 15 O wretched man that I am ... Who can deliver me from this body of death ?
I had an interesting night with the ladies next door. I want to cook a meal for all of them at our apartment in the future. I feel a ... get this ... fathering instinct for the 3 younger ones. I wonder what their testimonies are. They all seem to be such sweet ladies. Fact is none of us who end up at TC are here 'cause we were singing too loud on the choir ... with the exception of a few.
I am getting to know some of the students better. I don't know all of them and that is the way I believe God planned it. I am able to minister to the guys that I deal with on a regular basis ... the ADP guys. I will commit to 2 days a week for leading P&W for devotions. I also need to commit to the Wed. Mens group when it actually meets.
