... From my dad's side has passed away. Donald Czekalski died yesterday 1-16-08 around 2 am. Uncle Donny was a devout catholic. I will edit this post later with the notice from the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.

Loving father of Daryl (Mary) Czekalski and Dawn (Frank) Stanko. Proud grandfather of Derek (Kim) Czekalski and David Stanko. Adoring great- grandather of Aynsley Rio Czekalski. Dear brother of Carol Dillard, Shirley Weyenberg and Judith Witkowski. Brother-in-law of Jan Thompson, Jane Graber and George Graber. Also loved by Jan Cingatura and Gary Bady and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his devoted mother Joanna Zydowicz, two sisters and two brothers. Don was a Korean War veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a retiree of Louis Allis (MagneTek) after 28 years of dedicated service. Visitation Mon., Jan. 21, from 9:00 - 10:45 AM at NATIVITY OF THE LORD CATHOLIC CHURCH, 3672 E. Plankington Ave., Cudahy. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Entombment to follow at Arlington Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family appreciated. We will remember Don's jokes and storytelling, his love of music and his love for his family.
