Rewards

I, like many Christians look forward to my "reward" in heaven. God rewards those who diligently seek Him. I received a kind of reward from a student the other day. I was in the dormitory fixing something. One of the older students came up to me and said that "he appreciated me and that I am consistent." I felt like a million bucks ! Just a short 2 years ago ... I was not consistent and was just not a very nice person. THAT, my friends is the power of what God can do in a persons life if ... he or she is only willing. I am not always the willing subject that I appear to be. I still struggle with being in full-time ministry. The call of the "almighty dollar" is still strong, but fading. It is the strongest when I am in a pity party or just being selfish. Paul knew what he was talking about when he said "I die daily."
Back to the rewards thing ... I don't serve Him because I am getting something out of it, I serve Him because I desire fellowship with Him ... blessings instead of cursings, Life instead of Death ... true friendships instead of shallow ones. I desire ... Him. Everything else should fall into place.
