Stormy Season

Saturday night had some of the most rainfall seen in a long time. I was getting ready to go to Walmart for a few things. I stopped in at the office to check the type of bag for the vaccuum cleaner. Appleton avenue in front of Timmerman Field was flooded. Ma called me to tell me that all the mulch I put in was washed away. She wasn't too happy about it. I decided not to go to Walmart when a few cars got stuck. I went back to the apartment and started scrubbing the nasty shower. It stormed for hours and man was it coming down. The electric company shut off the power at Yia Yia's house because they heard buzzing. Everyone in that block had floods in their basements. I got there at about 10:00 with Ma this morning. Yia Yia went to the girls across the street for the night. There was about 2 feet of water in the basement by the looks of a few fabric chairs. There was crap everywhere. (uncle)Peter and (auntie)Millie brought a large shop-vac. One of the neighbors across the street let us use his portable generator. We put a bunch of the ruined stuff by the curb. We got out pretty much water and cleaned up what we could. It is sunny now.
