IRS Blues

Have you ever had the feeling that you walked into a hornets nest ? ... I seem to have walked into a large one. When we sell a donated car for more than 500 bucks we have 30 days to send the donor a 1098c. Generally speaking ... the A copies get sent to the IRS. I found out today that they were supposed to be in by the 28th of February. OOPS ! I had no idea. I also found out that if you file more than 250 (we do) we have to e-file them with purchased software. I spent most of the afternoon filing forms and talking to the IRS. I am hoping to get the TCC (Transmitter Control Code) within the next few days. If we don't we will have to pay penalties in the neighborhood of 5 grand (roughly). Today was pretty tough. I sometimes wonder why me God ? ... I am weak and fallible. I am thrust into what seems to be a hopeless situation.
